Help!!

The very best leaders ask for help. I’ve coached hundreds of leaders over 3 decades and I always admire those who have reached out for help. The worst leaders possess 3 traits: 1. They believe they know everything, 2. Are afraid to ask, 3. Their ego is too big blocking them from reaching out. A client of mine asked, after I helped her tackle 3 leadership problems, “how do you know all this stuff?” My answer: "its only through my arduous journey of leadership in the Army and beyond." I’ve screwed up more than I can remember but I learned to ask for help. I still lean on those with experience I do not have. Want to be an effective leader? Ask for help.
