Leadership entails a certain responsibility to yourself and your team of employees. This past month, I've been working on navigating workplace conversations in a way that holds space for others and builds professional credence. Leaders today must be empathetic and people-centric, whilst also using their position to promote employee accountability and trust. Unwritten hierarchies in leadership make the communication gap seem insurmountable at times, but knowing when to ask for permission, have that difficult discussion, or refer to your leadership training can make all the difference in the midst of tricky times. My latest Substack articles tackle business communication in detail.
